Well hello there!

It appears you have gotten lost on the world wide web and found me. Either that or you are a husband who is looking for some projects to impress your wife with…or you’re a wife who is about to bookmark this blog in your husband’s browser in the hopes that he clicks on it someday and decides to try and impress you with some DIY!

Either way, thanks for somehow ending up here and checking the site out!

So, welcome to The DIY Hubs. I’m Nick and I am the personal builder, chef, baker, painter, DIY’er, fixer, plumber, electrician, dogwalker, awesome nacho maker, husband of the talented and stunning Alicia from A Burst of Beautiful. We started A Burst of Beautiful in 2014 and it features beautiful interior design, DIY, craft projects and gourmet recipes. If you haven’t clicked on a link yet to check it out…you’d better before I continue so you know what I’m talking about! Ok, now click here. I’m waiting…

Pretty, huh? Into our third year, the blog had grown exponentially, so I started toying with the idea of starting a blog that is the complete opposite, but still ties in well with what we do!

First, I had to decide on a name. “A Blast of Handsome” didn’t fly with Alicia. So after a lot of brainstorming and vetoed names, I settled on The DIY Hubs, and I think it perfectly represents me. This blog will feature more of the behind the scenes, simple projects, and other DIY and How-Tos for around your house. And as for recipes…more meat and potatoes kinds of recipes 😉

Countless time’s I’ve heard, “I wish my husband was as handy as you!”. Well, maybe I can offer a bit of help through this blog. But it’s not just for guys obviously as I know a lot of women that want to up their DIY game.

Now I’m not saying I’m an expert in all fields by any means, in fact, it’s more like the old saying “Jack of all trades…Master of none”. And when I say Jack of all Trades, it’s more inferring that I like to try and figure out how to fix/build/make something before I involve a professional! Pretty much everything I tackle is something you can tackle too. There’s so much satisfaction in doing something yourself than buying or hiring.

If you have anything you would like to see a tutorial on or any general questions, shoot me an email anytime!

So I hope you’ll stay tuned and check back often.

Nick

Well, we might as well get social if nothing else…
